National Trivia Day
Trivia is information of little value. Trivia Day is all about celebrating trivia and the individuals who not only remember these bits and pieces of useless information but also enjoy sharing them with others. Jeopardy anyone?
Trivia became popular in the 1960’s when Columbia University students Ed Goodgold and Dan Carlinsky created inter-collegiate quiz bowls that tested culturally (and emotionally) significant, yet virtually useless information, which they dubbed trivia contests.
