National Video Game Day

National Video Game Day is a day to acknowledge the art and science behind video games and to appreciate the skills required to play them. This day was set aside for you to enjoy video games – guilt-free. So get out there and have some fun. It doesn’t matter if you play the xbox, the playstation or the switch – just enjoy yourself and play your favorite games.

When is National Video Game Day?

While we would love to celebrate this day every day of the year, the holiday is celebrated on September 12th every year.

  • Take the time to have some extra fun and play your favorite video games – guilt free
  • Take the day off of work to play your favorite games
  • Goof at work – play a game on your computer (it’s actually okay to do this today)
  • Video games are considered the top way goof off (yes there is an official day to celebrate goofing off)

  • The top video game of all time is Super Mario World followed by the Legend of Zelda. Of course – it depends on who you speak to. Other favorites include Donkey Kong, Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto.
